The emphasis of CSA RECREATIONAL SOCCER is on players having fun and making new friends while participating in the great sport of soccer! 

We have CENTRALIZED GAME LOCATIONS. There are no games played at Palisades, Colonel Beatty Park, or Uptown/McClintock. Those are practice venues only. 

Our program utilizes PARENT VOLUNTEER COACHES! Without coaches, there will not be teams! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team. You can volunteer during registration, and we offer reimbursement of fees for the child of the head coach!

Our programs are TEAM-BASED, OPEN ENROLLMENT programs! There are no tryouts or evaluations for our general recreation programs. Teams are formed based on practice night and friend requests within your age group.

Divisions Offered:	6U (2019 & 2020) 8U (2017 & 2018 Birth years) 10U (2015 & 2016 Birth years) Separate teams for boys and girls.
Practice Location:	Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP)
Practice Days:	One Practice per week, on the same night each week, assigned based on parent preferences and coach availability.  May be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday.
Game Location:	Primary: Crestdale Middle School, 940 Sam Newell Road. Matthews, NC 28015 (MAP) Secondary: Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP) , McAlpine Elementary School or other nearby fields.
Game Days:	Minimum 6 Saturdays in season. Game times vary. Sunday afternoon games are possible for make ups.

AGE GROUPS OFFERED Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

Age Groups/Genders Offered Separate teams for boys and girls. Age groups are based on YEAR OF BIRTH, not current age or grade!! Two birth years are combined in each age division as shown. Please see our age group policy - requests to play up must be made prior to February 1 and are subject to approval and space availability. U6 (Players Born in 2019 and 2020)   Plays 3 v 3 with no goalie. 6 to 7 players per team. U8 (Players Born in 2017 & 2018)    Plays 4 v 4 with no goalie. 7 to 9 players per team. PRACTICE INFORMATION: Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

• Spring Season begins March 3 and ends no later than May 18. • One practice per week at Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP). • Practice nights available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday, dependent on coach availability. • Players are assigned to a practice night and time based on coach availability & parent requests. • You can select one "blackout" night during registration to avoid conflicts with other activities. • Practices are 45 minutes for 6U, one hour for 8U and 10U. • 6U and 8U practices begin at 5:30pm; 10U practices begin at 5:30pm or 6:45pm as available. • A parent or designated adult guardian that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times. • Games are played at Crestdale Middle School, 940 Sam Newell Road. Matthews, NC 28015 (MAP) Backup: Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP). McAlpine Elementary School, 9100 Carswell Road or nearby field if demand requires. • 6 games minimum per season; played primarily on Saturdays between 9am and 5pm. • Scheduled game days: March 15, 22, 29, April 5, 26, May 3, 10, 17 • Spring Break: April 12 - 20 • Rain dates: Sundays in season. • A parent or designated adult guardian that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times. Players may not be dropped off.

FEES AND POLICIES Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

6U: $140 per season 8U: $160 per season 10U: $170 per season  • We do our best to meet requests, but they are not guaranteed.  • Refunds are not provided due to schedule conflicts, registration errors or requests that could not be met, sorry.  • Requests for registration cancellation must be received by February 1 to be eligible for credit or refund. All cancellations are subject to $25 administrative fee. No refunds/credits for individual player registration cancellations received after February 1.  • Volunteer to coach your child's team and your player's fees will be reimbursed when the season starts. You can volunteer during the player registration process.  Limit one discount per team. • Uniform is NOT included in fee. Please see below.

UNIFORM ORDERING INFORMATION AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

"HOME" UNIFORM: Yellow CSA Jersey, black shorts, and black socks "AWAY" UNIFORM: White CSA Jersey, black shorts and black socks • This is same uniform used for Fall 2024 and will be used through Spring 2026. • If you do not have this uniform kit, it must be purchased separately as follows:   Players are required to purchase the two jerseys online from Soccer.com. (One yellow jersey and one white jersey).   Players are also required to have black athletic shorts, black soccer socks, shinguards, cleats and a ball. December 9	Registration Opens for Spring season on December 9th. Sign up early.  Our program has limited capacity. We will utilize wait lists when necessary to manage enrollment. Wait lists can start at any time, based on demand. You are not guaranteed a spot on a team if you are on the wait list.
February 1	Last day to request an individual refund if you choose not to participate.  Subject to administrative fees.

February 25, 26, 27	Optional Preseason Camp for U6-U12.Registration coming soon.
February 21	Team Assignments and Practice Nights emailed to parents. This is delayed if we do not have coaches!
March 3rd-7th	First Week of Practices for weeknight teams. KickStarters begins March 15.
Game Days KickStarters and 6U through 12U	Saturdays: March 15, 22, 29 April 5 (Silent Saturday), 26 May 3, 10, 17 Spring Break: April 12-20 Game schedules for the season are typically available one week prior to the first game!
